The assistant coaches Fred Rutten and René Eijkelkamp had a fairly large squad at their disposal for Wednesday morning’s training session. The international players that had not gone away on national duty returned from a short break. Defender Alex, goalkeeper Gomes and midfielder Timmy Simons had been given a few days off by the coaching staff in a week with international fixtures, but they were back on the training pitch this morning.Edwin Zoetebier had returned from a training session with the Dutch squad and Theo Lucius and Michael Ball took the next step in their rehabilitation programme. Both players joined their team mates for full training. Below you will find some pictures taken during the Wednesday morning training session.
