Feelings of sadness and resignation prevailed last week, when PSV said a fond farewell to Frits Philips. The club had been the love of his life for one hundred years and that love was mutual. He will be buried in Eindhoven today. PSV have lost a loyal fan, and a socially conscious and very special man, who shared red-whites ties with a great many people. A memorial service for relatives and friends takes place in the large hall of the Frits Philips Music Centre this morning at 11:00. After the service, the funeral procession will go to the cemetery. Mr Philips will be buried in private circle. On the picture taken this morning, you will see the memorial near the main entrance of the Eindhoven Philips Stadium. Many people visited this memorial to lay flowers or put down PSV scarves or to light a candle. On behalf of the board, players, technical staff, medical staff, all club officials, business relations and our supporters, PSV offer their sincerest condolences: We will miss you.
