35-year-old Edwin Zoetebier intends to make a move to another club. "I would like to finish my career between the posts and not on the bench." His contract with PSV expires at the end of the current season. The other day PSV head coach Guus Hiddink inquired after Zoetebier’s future plans. “I would love to make appearances each week. I realize that Gomes is the first regular stopper at PSV. I am genuinely having a great time here and enjoy the high level of football. But, also bearing in mind my age, I would like really like to be included in a starting line-up the next few seasons. That’s why I have made up my mind and I intend to ply my trade as a goalkeeper somewhere else next season,” concluded Zoetebier.Zoetebier moved from Feyenoord, the club with whom he won the UEFA Cup, to Eindhoven in the summer of 2004. His contract expires at the end of the season, so he will be a free agent. "Everything is perfectly taken care of at PSV, but it would be wonderful to be first choice once again.
