Things were pretty quiet at the PSV training base on Monday morning: as many as eleven PSV players and head coach Guus Hiddink were away on international duty. Phillip Cocu and Jan Vennegoor of Hesselink were picked up by former PSV captain Mark van Bommel at De Herdgang training base, as they were to report for duty with the Dutch team in the seaside resort of Noordwijk later on the day. The youngsters Ismail Aissati and Ibrahim Afellay will join their Young Holland team mates at a training camp the next few days, where they prepare for the Euro 2006 in Portugal. Arouna Koné (Ivory Coast), Gomes (Brazil), Mika Väyrynen (Finland), Timmy Simons (Belgium) and DaMarcus Beasley (USA) had already left. Guus Hiddink and the PSV first team regulars Jason Culina and Archie Thompson are in Mierlo in the county of Brabant the next few days. They will have a great many training sessions, but unlike for the other international PSV players, no friendly fixture has been scheduled for them.
