Guus Hiddink wants to win the double for the second season in a row, when he takes charge as PSV head coach for the last time during an official game. At a press conference in Zeist, organized ahead of the Dutch Cup final, the coach himself referred to it as "the double-double." Hiddink said that Ajax could benefit from having played four tough play-off games the past three weeks. Hiddink: "We played one friendly in those three weeks. It may influence Sunday nights game." Ajax head coach Danny Blind hailed the collective team spirit of PSV. "They have more players that can make the difference in a game. PSV have made far more progress than my team anyway", felt Blind. Some 30, 000 fans are expected to make the trip to the Rotterdam Kuip next Sunday to see the Cup final.
