PSV will make the trip to Rotterdam already on Saturday afternoon, straight after the final training session at De Herdgang training base. Two or three players will be dropped from the squad on the match day, announced Hiddink at the media briefing.` Final press briefing/b>It was the last time that Guus Hiddink took charge of a press briefing in his capacity as PSV head coach. He will focus on the Australian national team, after Sunday night’s Dutch Cup final. Hiddink has made it a tradition to talk to the media representatives on Friday or on the day preceding a match. “I think it is great we have reached the Cup final for the second time in a row. I have already explained at the Cup Final press conference what our predicament is. We do not know where we stand. It will be a proper game of football on Sunday night; that’s why we have prepared for this game thoroughly and seriously. The last few weeks we have taken our feet off the pedal and celebrated winning the title. But I consider winning the Cup as a most welcome bonus. We will leave for Rotterdam on Saturday afternoon, after we have trained for the last time”, explained Hiddink. Arouna KonéHiddink announced that all the players of the squad will make the trip to Rotterdam, but two or three players will be dropped and watch the game from the grand stand. Arouna Koné is doing fine. “He has joined the squad for full training and is available”, said Hiddink, who added that the Cup final is the centre of the interest among the squad. “We did not have a great time the past three weeks, as we had nothing to focus on. PSV do not particularly like the pay-off system, but if it continued next season, that issue should be taken into consideration. A different date may be scheduled, as soon as two teams have reached the Cup final.”. André OoijerAndré Ooijer is also doing fine, announced Hiddink. “He has been training really hard under the supervision of PSV fitness coach Luc van Agt and is physically fit. I’m sure he will be ready when the World Cup 2006 in Germany starts. The national coach will obviously take the final decision, but I know he is able to show his skills at the level PSV expect of their players.” Edwin Zoetebier is fighting a back problem, but he is making progress. The veteran stand-by goalkeeper will face a fitness test on Saturday. Youngster Ruud Boffin has been added to the squad, just to be sure.PSV (from:)Goalkeepers: Boffin, Gomes, and ZoetebierDefenders: Addo, Alex, Ball, Lamey, Ooijer, ReizigerMidfielders: Afellay, Aissati, Cocu, Culina, Lucius, Simons, VäyrynenForwards: Beasley, Farfán, Koné, Vennegoor of Hesselink, Sibon, Thompson.
