Guus Hiddink and the national team of Australia have settled on Mierlo. The Socceroos have again selected the village in the county of Brabant to organize a training camp, this time to prepare for the World Cup 2006 in Germany. MierloAustralia were guests of honour in Mierlo before, when they prepared for the crucial play off-games against Uruguay. Mrs Donders-De Leest, mayor of Mierlo, warmly welcomed Guus Hiddink and the Australian squad. Australia will meet Holland for a warm-up friendly in the Rotterdam Kuip on Sunday 4 June next. Three days later they will face Liechtenstein for another friendly. Australia will meet Brazil, Japan and Croatia in the World Cup group games.
