Johan Vonlanthen left the pre-tournament training camp of the Swiss national team last Friday, after the medical staff had informed the 20-year-old striker that he could not possibly make appearances at the World Cup.Thigh injuryVonlanthen sustained a thigh injury in training at the start of last week, because of which he will be sidelined for four weeks at least. He would be ruled out of the group games with France, Togo and South Korea. Hakin Yakin, who was already on holiday when he was called up to replace Vonlanthen, has meanwhile joined the Swiss squad.
