Holland recorded a 2-1 win over Mexico in their penultimate FIFA World Cup warm-up match on Thursday night. The hosts were one goal down at half time, but by scoring second half goals, Heitinga and Babel made sure of victory after all. Vennegoor of HesselinkMexico took the lead on 20 minutes, when Jared Borgetti headed home from a corner. After the interval Heitinga scored the equalizer from a Sneijder corner on 53 minutes and four minutes later Babel volleyed home the winning goal. PSV players André Ooijer en Phillip Cocu were rested and Vennegoor of Hesselink was brought on at half time. It was never a spectacular game of football and the first half performance in particular was rather uneventful. Holland put on the pressure after the break, but the crowd in the Eindhoven Philips Stadium was not really entertained. Yet the stadium erupted when the final score of the Euro U21 2006 semi final clash between Holland and France was announced.Holland line-up: Timmer (46. Stekelenburg), Kromkamp, Boulahrouz, Heitinga, De Cler, Landzaat, Maduro, Sneijder, Van Persie (46. Vennegoor), Kuyt, Babel.
