PSV MEDIA - Patrick Kluivert is a PSV player. The striker signed a one-year deal, with an option for a further year, if the move is a success, at De Herdgang training ground on Thursday afternoon.Kluivert will wear the number No 9 shirt. He will join his Ronald Koeman and his new team mates for full training on Friday morning. The striker indicated he is most anxious to get match-fit as soon as possible, so he can show his skills to the PSV fans. 30-year-old Kluivert completed a medical at the hospital in Geldrop, after which he and his agent went to De Herdgang at the end of the afternoon to sign the contract. PSV Media was the first to speak to Kluivert. "I am a happy man", said Kluivert at De Herdgang. "PSV was the best option for me. I hardly got any playing time at Valencia and I haven't seen much of Holland the past two years. I feel good and as a thirty-year old I want to give my all. The Dutch league has changed, but I know I will get used to it soon."PSV captain Philip Cocu had been in contact with Kluivert, urging him to sign for the Dutch champions. It meant a lot to Kluivert. "I've been playing together with Phillip for many years. I was immediately interested in a move to PSV. I am going to train very hard and get on well with my team mates."
