After the game PSV manager Guus Hiddink said that he was delighted about the way his players had pepped themselves up for a game that was played only three days after Wednesday night’s thriller against Arsenal. PSV did a great job from a mental point of view by coasting to a 2-0 win over FC Twente."You cannot analyze tonight’s game without referring to last Wednesday", felt Hiddink. "It is always been hard to play another game so soon after a European top clash. But again we did not concede anything and we have kept a clean sheet. Gomes pulled off one save, but I think he wanted to impress the photographers at the same time. All players did what was expected of them. They have put up a fine display, although I must admit we did not play at a very high level."Hiddink took off substitute Beasley in the closing stages "He picked up a knock just above his ankle and that’s why I took him off. Farfán has a slight shoulder injury and Gomes is troubled by a sore thumb. But I think that they will be available for the next game, now that we can rest them for one week."FC Twente trainer Rini Coolen was asked whether he had thought for one single second that his team would score a goal tonight and he honestly replied: "No, not really. We knew it would not be easy to travel to Eindhoven and to get a good result, but our match plan was to attack as much as possible. The first goal came at an inconvenient moment. After the break I wanted to bring on a second striker as partner to N’Kufo, but then PSV doubled the advantage. We still tried to make it a game, but actually the game had already been killed off. We must earn points in other games, e.g. next week, when we play hosts to FC Den Bosch."
