After the PSV first team squad had inspected the pitch at Anfield Stadium, the beautiful home of Liverpool FC, full of atmosphere, they trained for about an hour, watched by Dutch media representatives. Ibrahim AfellayPSV head coach Ronald Koeman announced at the pre-match press conference Ibrahim Afellay would face a late fitness test. The young midfielder joined the squad for full training, after he had sustained a minor injury last Monday. The stadium looks just great and the pitch is kept in impeccable condition. It was cold; there were gusts of chilly wind and rain is predicted for Wednesday as well. Expectations are that Anfield Stadium will be filled to capacity, so a 50, 000 crowd will come and see the game.Below you will find some pictures taken at the final training ahead of Wednesday night’s game. The training at Anfield Stadium took place behind closed doors. Liverpool did not allow fans access to the stadium, due to British legislation.
