PSV have started preparing for Sunday afternoon’s crucial league clash with Ajax at the Philips Stadium, kick off at 14:30. Patrick Kluivert has resumed training and joined the squad this Thursday morning. Gomes worked out in the gym and Young PSV defender Dirk Marcellis trained with the first team regulars.
The players had been given a day off on Wednesday, but this morning it was business as usual, for Patrick Kluivert as well. Alex was obviously absent. The defender departed from Schiphol Airport earlier this morning for Brazil, where he is going to do rehabilitation work. PSV will also train on Friday and Saturday. After last week’s goalless draw with Excelsior, Ronald Koeman’s team hold an eight-point lead at the top of the Eredivisie over closest rivals AZ and Ajax.
