The last games in many national leagues have been played, but not all PSV players are able to enjoy a well deserved holiday yet. Many of them will be away on international duty in the months of May, June and July. Below you will find a survey of the matches and tournaments in which PSV players take part the next few months.
<L CODE="C01">Xiang Sun</L> will play a friendly against Thailand in Bangkok next Wednesday, while Ecuador, with <L CODE="C02">Edison Mendez</L>, will meet the Irish Republic in a friendly in New York on Wednesday 23 May. <L CODE="C03">Arouna Koné</L> will meet Madagascar in Bouaké on 3 June in an Africa Cup 2008 preliminary round game on 3 June. <L CODE="C04">Manuel da Costa</L> and <L CODE="C05">Timmy Simons</L> face each other in Brussels on 2 June when Belgium and Portugal lock horns in a UEFA 2008 qualifying game. Da Costa has been called up to the Portugal squad a few times before, but has not been handed a debut in an official game with the national team yet. Three days after their encounter with Belgium, Portugal travel to Kuwait for a friendly. Da Costa is then likely to take part in the Euro U21 Championships in the Netherlands. Simons is set to play one more Euro 2008 qualifying game and meet another team mate. Belgium will meet Finland, with <L CODE="C06">Mika Väyrynen</L> in Helsinki on 6 June. The Fins will also face Serbia and Montenegro in Helsinki on 2 June.
<L CODE="C07">Carlos Salcido</L> will not be able to enjoy much of a holiday ahead of the pre-season campaign. The Mexican takes part in the Copa de Oro (Gold Cup) in the United States of America between 6 June and 24 June. The Americans, including DaMarcus Beasley, currently on loan at Manchester City, won the tournament in 2005. Only two days later the Copa America, held in Venezuela between 26 June and 15 July, gets under way. And soon afterwards Salcido will report for duty in Eindhoven, when PSV start preparations for the new season.
