Peru have succeeded in reaching the quarter-finals of the Copa América 2007, after they drew 2-2 with Bolivia at the Metropolitano de Mérida Stadium last night. Pizarro was named ‘man of the match’, as he had scored a double. PSV striker <L CODE="C01">Jefferson Farfán</L> sustained an injury and was taken off at half time. The extent of his injury is unknown. Peru had to come from behind twice to cancel out Bolivia’s goals. With this result both sides progress to the quarter-finals, along with Peru.
