PSV trained on Friday morning ahead of Sunday afternoon's curtain raiser against Heracles Almelo. Kenneth Perez trained separately from the squad, guided by rehabilitation specialist Luc van Agt. Luc Nilis worked with youngster Dirk Marcellis, while goalkeeping Joop Hiele supervised Cássio Ramos' first training session on Dutch soil.
Kenneth Perez, recovering from a knee injury, has returned to the training pitch, contrary to Jefferson Farfán en Mika Väyrynen, who had a good work-out inside in the gym. Manuel da Costa did not join the squad for full training, either. The coaching staff made the players do the usual training programme, including firing shots on target and playing a practise game, ahead of Sunday afternoon's opening game of the season against Heracles Almelo, with a 14:30 kick-off.
