PSV MEDIA - PSV and AZ have reached an agreement on Thursday for the transfer of 28-year-old Danny Koevermans subject to the player passing a medical. The striker, who has won one cap for his country, will sign a four-year contract with PSV on Friday.
Forward Koevermans, born in Schiedam on 1 November 1978, will wear the number 10 shirt that had been vacant after the departure of Arouna Koné, who completed a five-year deal with Sevilla. Danny Koef, as he is nicknamed, started his career with amateurs Excelsior '20 and had a spell with Sparta Rotterdam before he moved to AZ. Koevermans underwent a medical on Thursday and in the evening he rounded off formalities at De Herdgang training centre, where he was shown around. Last season his tally of 22 goals for AZ made him the Eredivisie second leading scorer.
