PSV head coach Ronald Koeman did not beat about the bush at the customary pre-match press conference, preceding the final training on the pitch in the Stadio Giuseppe Meazza. 'I sincerely believe we have a decent chance, although we realize it will be a tough challenge', said Koeman about the Internazionale v PSV fixture.

PSV meet Internazionale at the Stadio Giuseppe Meazza on Tuesday night for their UEFA Champions League Matchday 2 fixture. 'It is hard to predict the final score; you get a lot of stunning results these days. There is obviously a difference in quality between the two teams. You only have to compare the resources of the two clubs and see what financial means Internazionale have at their disposal. But the past few seasons some clubs, including PSV, have proved you can make up for that by making clever match plans and building a team brimming with confidence. I sincerely believe we have a decent chance', said Koeman in Milan.
'We all know too well we will face an uphill battle. But the pressure will be on Internazionale: they desperately want to take all three points, following their Matchday 1 away defeat by Turkish champions Fenerbahçe SK. We just have to keep our composure and we will only have a chance of pulling a fair result, if we succeed in enjoying spells of possession. We have been forced to make a few changes in summer and field a different team from last season. Several of our players are not used to playing big games at this level, but they will only gain experience if they play Champions League football. We were successful last year and I think we'll stand a chance in this campaign as well. We are familiar with Internazionale's style of play. They have some injury and suspension worries, but they have a large squad and the individual qualities of some of their players may make a difference.'

Kenneth Perez also attended the press conference at the Stadio Giuseppe Meazza. The Dane kept his cards close to his chest, when he was asked whether he thought Inter would field a depleted team. 'They have so many good players. Even when they are rocked by injuries, they can select a team exclusively from quality players.' Perez was looking ahead at Tuesday's match in Milan in confident mood. 'If we grab a win, we will have a six-point cushion over Internazionale', he concluded.
