Ronald Koeman has a near-strength squad to select from for the domestic league fixture with Willem II on Saturday. Ibrahim Afellay and John de Jong are ruled out with injuries, but Mika Väyrynen, who has returned to full fitness, has resumed full training and all players have come through the Inter game unscathed.
Carlos Salcido has recovered from the tangle with Inter forward David Suazo in the dying seconds of Tuesday's match at the Stadio Giuseppe Meazza and the Mexican defender is set to start against Willem II on Saturday. After the players had warmed up, they were divided into two groups. The players who made an appearance against Inter played a relaxed game of foot volleyball, while the other first-team players played a practice match. When their colleagues were already taking a shower, defender Mike Zonnveld and striker Danny Koevermans were still firing shots on target, giving deputy goalkeeper Bas Roorda a tough time. PSV play host to Willem II at the Philips Stadium on Saturday. Kick-off is at 19:30.
