PSV defender Eric Addo will not be away on international duty after all to represent his country Ghana, after the proposed friendly against Jamaica, which was originally scheduled for Saturday in London, has been officially called off. At first it was announced that there would be a change of venue because of security reasons, but it has now been decided to call off the friendly international altogether.

A further proposal to switch the game to the El-Wak Stadium in Accra for next Wednesday has also been scrapped. Earlier this week match organizers said they had been unable to find a ground to host the game after Leyton Orient withdrew permission on security grounds, after which several other London clubs turned down the offer to host the friendly.
So Eric Addo will not make a trip to England or his native country, but he will train with PSV and enjoy a long weekend off. Ghana will be next in action at the end of November, when they host a four-nation tournament. Moreover Ghana also host the 2008 African Cup of Nations.
