Mateja Kezman was really relishing the trip to Eindhoven. Between 2000 and 2004, the Serbian striker became a legend at PSV, three times finishing top Eredivisie scorer. He saw his dream to return to the Philips Stadium where he scored so many goals shattered, after it was decided the Fenerbahçe SK striker would stay in Istanbul for treatment after he had picked up an injury.

Fenerbahçe SK announced on the club's website that Zico, the Brazilian coach of the Turkish champions, has named, among other players, Roberto Carlos, Stephen Appiah and Alex de Souza in his 20-man squad for the trip to Eindhoven, but Mateja Kezman will stay in Turkey.
The Ghanese international Appia, who had been sidelined for a long spell, made his comeback in Fenerbahçe SK's emphatic 4-1 victory against Konyaspor last Saturday. Fenerbahçe SK train on the pitch of the Philips Stadium tonight at 18:00 after Zico has previewed the game at a press conference.
