Eric Addo has been suspended for four UEFA club competition matches by UEFA's Control and Disciplinary Body after being charged with spitting at Sentürk during Tuesday's UEFA Champions League Group G match against Fenerbahçe SK. The Fenerbahçe striker had elbowed Addo seconds before, but was not punished.

PSV had already announced on Thursday they will not lodge an appeal against the decision to suspend Addo, who offered his apologies to PSV head coach Ronald Koeman and General Director Jan Reker. The UEFA did not accept that Addo had been provoked.
Fenerbahçe striker Deivid has been suspended after being sent off for a reckless challenge on Mike Zonneveld. The Turkish club asked for the red card to be rescinded, but UEFA's Control and Disciplinary Body judged 'the Brazilian's tackle had been committed in a reckless manner'.
Striker Sentürk has not been suspended, nor Deniz Baris, who had consciously stamped on Jan Kromkamp, after he had already been booked. Eric Addo will be suspended for the final three matches of the Champions League group stage and the first match in the knockout phase or the next first UEFA club competition fixture
