Fenerbahçe head coach Zico expects his players will be brimming with confidence when they take on PSV tomorrow night. At the traditional pre-match press conference at the Sükrü Saraçoglu Stadium on Tuesday afternoon the Brazilian coach repeatedly said he was aware of just how much is at stake, emphatically underlining the importance of the match.

'We feel confident after having gained several morale-boosting wins so far', said Zico. 'This is a crucial, vitally important game. Both teams need a win, but we'll enjoy home advantage. Moreover Koeman's departure in the middle of the campaign may have had adverse effects, but then again PSV are an experienced team who cope with things like that in a professional way.'
Zico also looked back at this season's reverse encounter in Eindhoven. 'It was an ill-tempered match at times, which saw two Fenerbahçe players booked. Lugano and Deivid, who are both key players, now serve suspensions, but we have some options left. I hope tomorrow night's match will be less physical than the clash in Eindhoven, when Deivid was wrongfully dismissed by the referee. Tempers flared in the second half in Eindhoven and I hope the crowd will see a fair and fine game.'

The Brazilian Vederson even referred to Wednesday's game as 'one of the most important matches in the history of Fenerbahçe.' 'We play at home and must take all three points. We miss Lugano and Deivid, but some players of great quality will deputise.'
