PSV take on bottom-of-the-table Excelsior at the Philips Stadium on Saturday night. PSV head coach Sef Vergoossen has made one change to the PSV side that defeated Sparta Rotterdam 3-1 at the Philips Stadium on Wednesday night. Australian midfielder Jason Culina replaces the injured Otman Bakkal, who has not been passed fit after he had sustained a strained hamstring. Mika Väyrynen has been added to the squad and starts on the bench.

Jefferson Farfán and Danko Lazovic retain their places up front in the PSV starting XI, with the Hungarian Balázs Dzsudzsák providing support from the left flank. Marcellis partners Salcido in the heart of defence, while Zonneveld and Koevermans, PSV's top scorer with eleven goals, drop to the bench, along with Manuel da Costa. At the weekly media briefing on Friday, Vergoossen complimented the Portuguese defender on the dedication and commitment that he showed at the training sessions.
