Sef Vergoossen held his traditional weekly press briefing at De Herdgang training centre on Friday afternoon, before he took charge of a light training session. The PSV head coach was in a positive mood, ahead of Sunday's clash with FC Twente, as feelings of lingering disappointment from Thursday's UEFA Cup exit had been shaken off. Vergoossen made it clear that he would rather focus exclusively on Sunday's game.
Vergoossen told media representatives that he not is inclined to 'moan'. 'We never dwell upon defeats too long. We are keen to play our next game and try to bounce back to winning ways. We are obviously disappointed not having been able to book a place in the semi-finals of the UEFA Cup, but it has not left a deep impression on me. The only things that counts is Sunday's game', explained Vergoossen. The PSV boss thought his players had come through the Fiorentina game unscathed. He was not too worried about the injury that Ismail Aissati has sustained. It was feared that the young midfielder would be on the sidelines for a long time, but Vergoossen thought his injury could be less serious than originally feared. 'We will wait and see how he comes through today's and tomorrow's training sessions. Alcides is available again.'

PSV will be crowned champions on Sunday if they record a win over FC Twente at the Philips Stadium. 'We are anxious to win the title. We will be crowned champions if we collect two points from the final two matches of the season. So two draws would do, but we will do anything to produce a match-winning performance on Sunday and win the title. We have no other option but to go for it. But we will not foolishly move, say, seven players forward.'
