PSV have been drawn against Liverpool, Olympique Marseille and Atlético Madrid in Group D and the players realise that they face a tall task in qualifying for the knockout stages of the UEFA Champions League. Danny Koevermans claims it would be a great achievement to finish second in Group D and Mike Zonneveld conceded PSV will only meet top teams.

'Atlético Madrid could have been in Pot 2', said defender Mike Zonneveld. 'And we are drawn against them of all teams in Pot 4. This is very tough draw indeed. We are going to meet some great teams and I suppose we will face stern tests to qualify for the knockout stages.' Danny Koevermans also admits PSV face a tall task against formidable opponents. 'We will meet three quality sides. I think Liverpool are favourites to become Group D winners and it is hard to predict which team will also reach the next phase. It would be a great achievement to finish second in Group D', concluded Koevermans.
Dirk Marcellis
'This is a tough draw', admitted Dirk Marcellis when he learnt PSV's fate. 'It's too bad we have also been drawn against Atlético. Liverpool are definitely favourites to go through and I think the other teams are equal to each other.' Marcellis is looking forward to playing games at top level. 'Liverpool have a great stadium and Atlético have a great team. Yet I rather play these crucial games in Spain than, say, Belarus. But we will surely face a tall task', said Marcellis on Thursday night.
