Ahead of PSV's Champions League second group D game against Liverpool, Jan Kromkamp said PSV are keen to save their European campaign after losing their first match against Atlético Madrid. But he admits that PSV face a tough challenge at Anfield. 'It will be tough to find weak spots in their team", said the full right back.
'Terrific atmosphere'
'I think they have become a stronger team the past two seasons. They have always fielded a strong team, but since then, they have strengthened their squad with the signings of several quality players', said Jan Kromkamp in the Trophy Room at Anfield. 'Liverpool are a very good team that has played a major role in the Champions League in consecutive seasons. It will be tough to find weak spots in their team.' Kromkamp thinks that Liverpool and Atlético Madrid are favourites to progress to the next stage, but refuses to throw in the towel. He is looking forward to facing his old club at Anfield. 'Keeping a clean sheet is important. Liverpool have a very strong defence, and once we have conceded a goal, it will be difficult for us to claim victory here. But I am looking forward to Wednesday night's clash with Liverpool. It is just great to play football at Anfield, as there is always a terrific atmosphere. We want to make amends for our poor start in the Champions League.'
