Erik Pieters will not join his Holland Under-21 team mates for their trip to Ukraine. Holland Under-21 will meet Ukraine in a friendly on Friday. The left back was forced to withdraw from the squad after he had sustained an injury during PSV's 3-0 victory over De Graafschap on Saturday. He was taken off at half time and replaced by Zonneveld.
Three PSV players
Eelco Horsten, Olivier ter Horst and Stef Nijland reported for duty in Amsterdam after they had featured in Young PSV's 1-1 draw with Sparta. Holland Under-21 will fly to Kiev today and train on Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday. The friendly against Ukraine takes place at the Obolon Stadium in Kiev on Friday, October 10, with a 3pm kick off (local time). Willem II defender Rens van Eijden, on loan from PSV, has also been called up to the Holland Under-21 squad. The team consists of players who are born on or after 1 January 1988. They will play friendlies but are not involved in qualification matches.
