Two second-half strikes give PSV victory (PSV.nl)

PSV bounced back from two straight defeats with a 2-0 win over ADO Den Haag on a wet Tuesday night. Addo and Bakkal scored two second-half goals to give Huub Stevens' side a crucial win in Den Haag.
PSV claim a 0-2 win for the fourth time in a row
PSV earned their fourth consecutive 2-0 win, away over ADO Den Haag, who had not conceded a single goal in their home matches so far. The hosts put in a passionate and aggressive display, but hardly threatened the solid PSV defence. PSV produced a far from convincing performance, but bounced back from two straight defeats. Eric Addo crowned his first appearance for PSV this season with a great opening goal. PSV return to Eredivisie action on Saturday against Willem II at the Philips Stadium in Eindhoven.
First-half report
PSV had Ibrahim Afellay back for Tuesday night's tough Eredivisie trip to ADO Den Haag. The midfielder had shaken off a hamstring problem, which ruled him out of Saturday's clash with Roda JC. PSV coach Huub Stevens made five more changes from the team that were beaten 2-0 by Roda. Koevermans, Salcido and Maza all started on the bench, along with youngster Manco. PSV played three strikers, Lazovic, Dzsudzsák and Afellay. Lazovic had a great opportunity to score the opener after five minutes, when he pounced on a rebound, but the Serb's shot was off target. PSV dominated the early exchanges but found it hard to slice open the ADO Den Haag defence. The hosts, who showed great work ethics, played a physical game and attempted to close down PSV players all over the park. The home side cut into the box a few times, but PSV keeper Andreas Isaksson was hardly tested. PSV often surged forward, but could not muster anything offensively. Dzsudzsák sent a free kick wide of goal and PSV players were wrongly judged to have been in an offside position on two occasions. Bakkal was hauled down in the area, but referee Van Egmond waved play on.
Addo and Bakkal score second-half goals
Full left back Zonneveld was taken off at half time as he had picked up a knock in the first period, to be replaced by Pieters. Twelve minutes into the second half, PSV took the lead with a goal from Addo. The defender, who was handed his first start of the season, slipped the ball to Bakkal, burst into the box and collected a return pass before coolly slotting home; 0-1. Soon afterwards Dzsudzsák had a chance, but saw his effort blocked by a defender. Fifteen minutes from time, PSV had two opportunities to wrap up the points, but Afellay was selfish and Culina sent his shot wide. At the other end, Immers had a golden opportunity to score an equaliser, but he mishit a Caracciolo cross. With three minutes remaining, Lazovic was substituted for Koevermans and Nijland came off the bench to replace team mate Afellay. Deep into injury time, PSV started a counter attack. Bakkal collected the ball and rounded keeper Zwinkels before tapping home PSV's seconds goal of the night.
