Nineteen players made the trip to Madrid as the PSV coaching staff added 17-year-old Belgian youth player Funso Ojo to the squad to provide cover for the injured Dirk Marcellis and Jan Kromkamp
Vicente Calderón
Young PSV player Ojo has been called up to the senior squad once before and was handed his first start for PSV in the Cup tie against Young PSV. He will now train with the squad at Estadio Vicente Calderón in Madrid, ahead of tomorrow night's encounter with Atlético Madrid. 'This is a wonderful opportunity for me to gain valuable experience', said Ojo, who has been putting in commanding displays with Young PSV the past few weeks. 'I always try to be of added value to the team and I think it's wonderful to be here. It's a shame the match will be played in an empty stadium, but the main thing is to get a result tomorrow night.'
Joined PSV in 2004
Ojo is generally regarded one of the most talented players of the PSV Academy. The Belgian joined PSV in 2004 and both Ronald Koeman and Sef Vergoossen invited him to join the suqad for pre-season training. He has now been added to the senior squad for Wednesday's UEFA Champions League encounter with Atlético Madrid.
