PSV coach Huub Stevens paid tribute to the determination of his players who came from two goals down to rescue a point in the closing stages in Heerenveen. 'When we were trailing 2-0, we showed great resilience and character', he said at the post-match press conference. Stevens was less pleased with his defence's efforts.

Stevens, who celebrated his 55th birthday on Saturday, was happy with his team's first-half attacking display, but admitted he was less pleased with his defence's efforts. 'When we were two goals down, it was all or nothing. I am delighted with my team's second half response. We have shown great resilience and character.' Stevens was not only happy with the way his side had fought back, he also praised 18-year old Peruvian substitute Reimond Manco for a fine performance. 'We brought on Manco, hoping he would provide crosses from the right wing. And he certainly met expectations', concluded Stevens.
