Reimond Manco was back on the training pitch on Monday afternoon, as the players were split into two groups. One group worked in the sports hall, while the other trained on the new artificial turf football pitch that had been cleared of snow. After 45 minutes the groups took each other's place.
Salcido and Méndez
Carlos Salcido and Edison Méndez were the only noticeable absentees when the first-team squad resumed training following a short winter break. PSV coach Huub Stevens has added youngster Funso Ojo and goalkeeper Jeroen Zoet to the first-team squad. Ojo will keep on making appearance for the PSV reserves, but the defender and Zoet will be frequently called up to train with the senior squad. The players concluded Monday afternoon's training session with a number of piggy-in-the-middle games. Dirk Marcellis defied the cold, wearing shorts, while captain Timmy Simons wore neither gloves nor a beanie hat.
