Dwight Lodeweges praised his players for staging a brave fightback on Saturday night. 'We were two goals down at half time against leaders AZ and yet we managed to snatch a late draw. The crowd went wild. We have no reason to complain', said the PSV coach at the post-match press conference.

'We were curious to find out if we could continue our fine run of form, following three consecutive victories. We were given little space and I must admit we were not patient enough. We were soon two goals down and it looked as though it was going to be one of those nights. We urged the players at half time to show more composure. Fortunately Danny Koevermans scored two superb goals. Although we were 2-0 at half time against leaders AZ, we managed to snatch a late draw. The crowd went wild. We have no reason to complain', concluded Lodeweges.
Louis van Gaal
AZ coach Louis van Gaal said both teams had put in a passionate display. 'We dominated proceedings in the first half and were in control of the game. We scored two goals and we instructed our players at half time to try and prevent PSV from scoring an early goal. Yet PSV reduced the deficit four minutes into the second half. We defended deeply. PSV created little but equalised out of the blue. We had two decent chances to earn a late victory, so I am disappointed with the result. But it was a very entertaining game and the crowd must have thoroughly enjoyed themselves.'
