A new covenant to fight football hooliganism was signed in the Eindhoven town hall on Friday afternoon. Representatives of PSV, the law and the police, of two supporters' organizations and the mayor put their signatures. The covenant is an adaptation of the 2003 version. The main cause to do so was, among other things, the chants that took place recently. Eindhoven is one of the first football towns to adapt the agreement in order to preserve a festive and safe atmosphere during the PSV home games. The signing took place in the room of Mr Sakkers, the mayor of Eindhoven in the presence of, among other people, PSV Chairman Rob Westerhof, the chairman of the PSV Supporters association Ger van Os and the chairman of PSV Fans United Frits Bovers. Mr Van der Linden signed the covenant on behalf of the Regional Police Force and Mr Wolfs did so as Public Prosecutor. "PSV are delighted that we can now guarantee a perfect match organization by means of this covenant", felt PSV Manager Security Frank Wijnveld.
