The strong points of the province and the importance of 'cross-border cooperation' were emphasized. The party visited the Eindhoven High Tech Campus earlier on the day. The three mayors of the three towns signed a statement including the strategy to present themselves as the 'top technology triangle' in restaurant Avant-Garde. PSV manager Guus Hiddink said a few words on innovation in all fields of life, such as sport and technology. Many heavyweights, among whom PSV Chairman Rob Westerhof, PSV Director Rob Ribbers, the Liberal Party representative for Economic Affairs of the County Noord-Brabant Onno Hoes, Philips Nederland general manager Harry Hendriks and representatives of the towns of Leuven and Aken sat down to dinner. Minister Zalm closed the day by making a brief speech. "I have seen quite a few things today, in particular as far as technological developments are concerned", he told representatives of the press. "It is very impressive indeed to see to what extent the county of Brabant has developed. The triangle has a golden future; the three towns have far more body when they cooperate. Brabant is no longer making up arrears; the county is leading the way. And it is attractive to invest in a county that shows its capacities", felt the minister.
