There was massive media interest in the pre match press conference in the San Siro Stadium at which PSV head coach Guus Hiddink gave his views on Tuesday night’s game. He told the media representatives, among other things, that all players that had traveled to Milan are available.Ambiance"We are here to put up a tough resistance. We are not satisfied by just being here. The squad have continuously raised their standards and they will do anything to raise them once again. It would be wonderful if we could produce a fair result. I feel that we’ll stand a chance. But we must take the courage to take the initiative in this ambiance. The lads realize this is a unique experience. Apart from Phillip Cocu, none of them have ever made an appearance in a semi final tie", explained Guus Hiddink. Mentally strongHiddink was in awe of Tuesday night’s opponent. "AC Milan are a very professional side. They are mentally strong, also when things do not go their way. They don't pay attention to their critics even when they slip up", he said. "They have gained an awful lot of experience, whereas some players of our team have made their debuts on the European stage only this season. I expect the atmosphere in San Siro to be electric and hectic, but that’s obviously great at the same time." Private affairsThe PSV head coach announced that all players that had traveled to Milan are available. Thus Vennegoor of Hesselink, Lee and Farfán may be given playing time. The latter two players have, respectively, good and sad family affairs. Lee has become the proud father of a daughter, whereas Jefferson Farfán’s grandmother has died. The Peruvian cannot attend the funeral.
