PSV did not only win their eighteenth Dutch title, they also set a great many records in the 2004-2005 season. Tonight a depleted PSV side can equal another milestone record, when they travel to FC Twente. The team of coach Guus Hiddink kept five clean sheets in their away fixtures against Willem II-PSV 0-1, Ajax-PSV 0-4, FC Groningen-PSV 0-1, sc Heerenveen 0-3 and AZ-PSV 0-0. The club record is six games in a row without conceding a goal, which was set earlier this season. If goalkeeper Gomes or Zoetebier manage to keep another clean sheet in Enschede, they will have equaled the record. PSV have already kept as many as 22 clean sheets this campaign. FC Twente, who happen to be tonight’s opponents, are the proud holders of the record.Club recordFC Twente also have set the record of conceding fewest goals. That was in the 1971-1972 season when FC Twente only conceded thirteen goals. Right now PSV have conceded thirteen goals so far, so they need four more clean sheets to equal that record. The fourth record that can be set this season is the club record of maintaining an unbeaten run in away games. PSV have taken their tally to nineteen games and the club record is twenty.(Source: infostrada)
