When the final whistle had gone this afternoon, a 4-2 win over rivals Feyenoord was celebrated and PSV took leave of Mark van Bommel and Johann Vogel. Both players and their families were given a rousing send-off and did a lap of honour.Cheers and thank you.After Rob Westerhof (PSV Chairman), Ger van Os (chairman of the PSV supporters’ association) and Guus Hiddink (PSV head coach) had thanked the two players, Mark and Johann were given the floor. They thanked the crowd and looked briefly back to six wonderful years, during which they won four Dutch titles. Johann Vogel ended his speech by saying ‘cheers and thank you’. Mark van Bommel said that he would love to come back to PSV once, if the state of his health would permit him to do so. Lap of honourThe two players then did a lap of honour in front of the crowd and their children followed in their wake. At the end of their lap of honour the players, all members of the technical staff and the medical staff had made a double row.
