The PSV squad have trained for the first time since at De Herdgang training ground for the first time since they returned from South Korea. The assistant coaches Fred Rutten and René Eijkelkamp took charge on Sunday morning and the players had a light training session. Theo LuciusTheo Lucius has joined the squad for training again. He had not travelled to Asia in order to recover from the injury he sustained during a World Cup qualifying game with the Dutch team and had individual training session. Lucius trained in Geldrop and is almost fit. "Things are going fine; I will soon join the squad for full training." Lucius hopes to be granted some playing time on Friday night when PSV meet the German Bundesliga side Borussia Mönchengladbach in a pre-season friendly. "I have not made a full recovery yet, but I feel things are definitely going my way."Eric Addo did not go out on the pitch; he picked up a foot injury in the Olympique Lyon clash. The African needed treatment and will have to take things easy for a while. Light training sessionDaMarcus Beasley was absent as he is on international duty with Team USA who have advanced to the Gold Cup final. The American will fly back to Holland straight after the final. All the other players of the first team squad, including youngsters Guy Dufour, Ismail Aissati and Roy Beerens, made an appearance on the training pitch this morning. They had been handed a trial in Korea and were give given match rhythm during the Peace Cup group games. The players did not train hard this morning. They played some 'piggy in the middle' games and finished on target. Another training session at De Herdgang is scheduled for Monday morning. The players were given last Friday and Saturday off to recover from the fatigue caused by the Korea trip and ill effects produced by the jet lag.
