Fenerbahçe played hosts to Samsunspor on Saturday night. The visitors took a shock lead, but coach Daum guided his team to an emphatic 5-2 win. Alex de SouzaAlex de Souza put his side on level terms five minutes after the opening goal. On the stroke of half time Anelka put Fenerbahçe 2-1on top and Marcio Nobre made it 3-1 with a glancing header. Samsunspor got back in the game, when Via Serkan Aykut pulled one back fifteen minutes from final time, but the blue-yellow outfit made sure of victory in the closing stages.
