-------------------- Guus Hiddink announced at the post-match press conference in the Abe Lenstra Stadium that he was "delighted and content" with the 2-3 win over Heerenveen. "This is an important win. We invariably have a hard time when we play away against Heerenveen, so this is a great day for us." Three super goalsHe also referred to the 3-1 defeat Feyenoord suffered, away against FC Utrecht. The gap between the joint Eredivisie leaders AZ /Feyenoord and PSV is now only two points. Several PSV players have been called up for international duty and they must have been boosted by the win in Friesland and the fact that they have well done in the first seven games of the season. "We have rebounded well from the defeat in Turkey. It is always hard to start the next game with a fresh mind. I am delighted and content with the win we have earned today, one week before the break. The first half was an open and entertaining affair. We upped a gear in the second period and could have killed off the game by scoring a fourth goal. When Heerenveen got a goal back, we were in trouble. But all in all it was an exciting game and we are very happy we have earned all three points."Shown resiliencesc Heerenveen coach Gertjan Verbeek rightly pointed out that his players had not made proper use of the chances they had created. "Unlike PSV, we wasted some good opportunities. We have shown resilience, after Thursday night’s European game, when we spent a lot of energy. But is has certainly taken its toll, for today we gradually lost control and then they scored two goals. When we reduced the deficit in the final stages, there was again a spark of hope, but we were unable to create any clear cut chances. If we had shown more conviction and had been more prolific in our finishing, we might have salvaged one point."
