PSV are entertained by AC Milan in the 'Giuseppe Meazza' San Siro Stadium in a UEFA Champions League tie for the second time within one year. Last season the two teams met in the semi finals and they line-up for a group stage encounter this season. Many changesA great many players left PSV following last season’s successful campaign. PSV head coach Guus Hiddink has obviously noticed that AC Milan can field the same players and that they have even strengthened their side. "The circumstances are entirely different. We all know the international set-up", announced Hiddink at the customary press conference ahead of the final training session. "Big clubs can keep their squad intact relatively simply. If PSV do well, they will have various new faces in their squad next season. And Johann Vogel, one of our regulars last season, even starts on the bench. However, I want to emphasize that this is not a transition year. We definitely want to lift a trophy at the end of the season." Perfect gameGuus Hiddink feels PSV must play a 'perfect game' in San Siro on Wednesday night to get a result against a side like Milan. "You get punished here straightaway for any sloppy moment. But then again a perfect game does not guarantee a win; just look at what happened last season when we did play a perfect game! Leaving here empty-handed would be a negative scenario, but getting a fair result would be great indeed. We invariably earned nine to ten points the past few campaigns, but earning nine points this year could very well be insufficient to progress to the next phase", finished Hiddink his calculations. Jefferson FarfánJefferson Farfán is still a major doubt. When the Peruvian is training, it is hard to detect a heel injury. But we must be very cautious and see to it that his injury does not get worse so that he will face a lengthy lay-off. I will take the decision on match day", amplified Hiddink his decision at the end of the press conference. PSV were supported by over 7, 000 fans in Milan last season. Some 400 supporters have made the trip to Milan at this stage of the tournament.
