In view of the death of Frits Philips, PSV have adapted the programme ahead of the PSV-Fenerbahçe SK clash. Below you will find a survey of all the activities in the Eindhoven Philips Stadium.Guus MeeuwisPrior to the game, Guus Meeuwis will sing on the pitch the song ‘The road’, a modest and subdued song, which will be dedicated to Frits Philips tonight. The singer will be announced by PSV Chairman Rob Westerhof, who will make a short speech, while standing beside the seat that would be taken by 'Mister Frits'. PSV summonsPSV appeal to all visitors to use the match programme, called PSV Flits, which has been produced in such a format that it can be unfolded, to honour Frits Philips. Everybody is requested to raise the unfolded PSV Flits match programme the moment the players enter the pitch until the minute silence has been observed. A picture of Frits Philips will be shown on the large screens. During the PSV.TV broadcast, Chairman Westerhof will pay homage to 'Mister Frits' in some detail. Westerhof was in the service of Philips for 36 years and he has come to know him in that capacity.CartoonEindhoven and the PSV community show their sympathy with the Philips family and the club in several ways. Thus Peter Nagelkerke, former member of the Philips board of directors, sent an email with a cartoon attachment to PSV.Flowers are laid near the stadium; large numbers of people sign the internet register book and condolences are being offered in various ways.
