PSV hope to finish a successful year in style tomorrow night, when they take on FC Twente for a domestic league game. The Eindhoven outfit need a win, or at least a draw, to be on top of the Dutch table, when the brief winter break sets in. PSV nicked a hard fought 0-2 win over N.E.C on Boxing Day. PSV survived some scary moment in one their hardest games of the season. “N.E.C. played a great game and we had to withstand heavy pressure at times. Moreover we were also sloppy at times. We quite extraordinarily did not build up our moves accurately enough. So I hope we have learned our lesson. We should be wary when we meet FC Twente. They are known for their speedy counter attacks”, said Hiddink at the Wednesday afternoon press briefing.Alex is still sidelined and will be ruled out for the FC Twente game. The Brazilian defender is still troubled by an upper leg muscle problem. Edwin Zoetebier is fighting a back problem. He will face a fitness test on Thursday to find out if he is available. If he not, Nathan Coe will deputize. Hiddink has no more injury worries, apart from Ibrahim Afellay and John de Jong, who faces a lengthy lay-off. When Hiddink reviewed the first period of the current campaign, he paid attention to some negative issues, in spite of the excellent run of successes at home as well as in Europe. "We dropped points away against Heracles, FC Groningen and RKC, which is not done. It would have been different if we had dropped points against the likes of Feyenoord, Ajax and AZ. But we did not start to dominate last season before the second period, either. We hope to welcome more players back from injury after the winter break and then we may put in some more stable and solid performances."Provisional PSV squad:Goalkeepers: Gomes, Zoetebier, Coe.Defenders: Ooijer, Reiziger, Ball, Addo and Lamey.Midfielders: Simons, Väyrynen, Cocu, Culina, Lucius and Aissati.Forwards: Vennegoor of Hesselink, Koné, Beasley, Farfán and Sibon.
