PSV again enjoy a three-point lead over rivals AZ and Feyenoord. The fixture Feyenoord- Roda JC in Rotterdam on Sunday afternoon ended in a goalless stalemate and AZ had to settle for a 1-1 draw, at home against FC Groningen on Saturday night.8 pointsSo PSV are the winners of the weekend. Feyenoord piled up the pressure in the second half, but Roda held on in the Rotterdam Kuip. Salmon opened the scoring for Groningen in Alkmaar and Arveladze netted a second half equalizer. PSV saw off RKC Waalwijk 2-0 last Friday night, thanks to goals by Jefferson Farfán (who has taken his season’s tally to eleven goals) and substitute DaMarcus Beasley on either side of the break. PSV have earned 48 points from their twenty league games. AZ as well as Feyenoord trail by three points. Ajax moved up to the fourth place, following a 2-3 win over FC Twente, gained by two goals scored at the death. Ajax have 34 points, just like N.E.C.FC Utrecht and FC Groningen have been doing well: they have collected 33 points so far. PSV will travel to Den Haag next Sunday afternoon, where they face ADO Den Haag.
