The past few days many newspapers suggested a host of English journalists would cross the Channel to watch today's training session at De Herdgang training ground, but the predicted invasion failed to materialize, when PSV trained on the artificial pitch. Only two English camera crews covered the training session and they interviewed Michael Ball, Jason Culina and Archie Thompson. They were obviously particularly interested in Guus Hiddink, but whether their trip to Eindhoven was worthwhile remains to be seen. Most players of the squad trained outside on the artificial pitch for over an hour and then went inside for treatment. Some other players stayed on the pitch a bit longer and tested the goalkeepers Gomes, Nathan Coe and Samir Handanovic, who is currently on trial in Eindhoven. The squad will have a final training session, on Saturday at 15:00, ahead of the league clash, away against ADO Den Haag in the Zuiderpark Stadium. The game will be kicked off at 12:30.
