PSV have confirmed cooperation with an ambitious amateur football club. Prior to the semi-final cup tie against AZ, the cooperation with Hercules was signed in Eindhoven. Hercules are a second division amateur club from Utrecht, who are on top of their league. "There are some fine football players in our area, but those players, who have learned how to stand up for themselves in the streets, such as Afellay and Aissati, are of added value to our (youth) teams. We want to scout talented players outside our own district and Hercules have a fine Youth Academy", announced PSV Manager Scouting Rini de Groot. Hercules Youth Academy Chairman Mark Maas van Hercules: "I and the technical coordinator of the Youth Academy have had several meetings with PSV. It soon became clear that we share the same ideas as to our Youth Educations." Part of the cooperation is that PSV will support Hercules by organizing master classes or clinics for youth coaches. Hercules will map talented players for PSV.
