Goalkeeper Gomes is not the only PSV player that has extended his contract. Eric Addo will also stay with PSV. The Ghanese defender, who has been in the service of PSV for seven years now, will sign a new one-year deal shortly. 27-year-old Addo is often played in the heart of defence this season. The African, who joined PSV in 1999, currently fills in for André Ooijer, who is recovering from a broken toe. Addo opened his scoring account for PSV only recently, when he found the net away against Willem II. Guus Hiddink, who announced the news during the weekly media briefing on Friday afternoon, said he was delighted Addo would stay with PSV. "He is of added value to the squad and he knows exactly what part he has to play", explained Hiddink.
