We all know the meaning of the proverb ‘Don't sell the skin till you've caught the bear’. Yet the town of Eindhoven is ready to pay tribute to PSV for winning the nineteenth title in their rich history. There will be no festivities in the Eindhoven inner city, only if PSV crash to defeat against FC Groningen and AZ enjoy a win over Ajax in the Amsterdam ArenA. But there will be huge celebrations when PSV manage to clinch the title. Hiddink has promised to give his players permission to paint the town red if PSV succeed in winning the title. "Wouldn’t it be wonderful to finish the season in style? If we are crowned champions, we're going to push the boat out", announced Hiddink on Friday afternoon. The preparations for the championship parties were in full swing on Saturday. A special platform has been put up in the Town Hall Square and there are PSV banners all over the inner city.Prior to the celebrations, if any, a programme has been scheduled at three different locations as from 13.00 pm. The PSV-FC Groningen clash will be shown live on three large screens in the town. After the game the championship shield will be presented to the PSV captain and there will be the customary celebrations on the pitch. The party will leave the Philips Stadion between 17.30 pm and 17.45 pm and head for the Town Hall Square. The championship ceremony on the special platform will start at about 17.00pm.
