27-year-old Jan Vennegoor of Hesselink has sealed a move to Celtic. The striker has completed a three-year-deal, it is reported on the club´s website. 3-year-dealCeltic Football Club officially announced this afternoon that the striker has put pen to paper on a three-year deal, with Celtic having the option of a further year. PSV and Celtic FC had already reached agreement on the transfer fee. Vennegoor of Hesselink will be presented to the media at a press conference later today. FC Twente and PSVVennegoor of Hesselink, who has been capped eight times for Holland, joined PSV from FC Twente in 2001. ‘VOH’ spent five years with the Eindhoven outfit. He scored 73 goals in 156 league games. He scored his last goal for PSV in Sunday’s 3-0 win over N.E.C. Nijmegen on the first match day of the new season. Just like André Ooijer, who joined Blackburn Rovers, Vennegoor of Hesselink misses an opportunity to make his 300th league appearance, when PSV travel to his former club FC Twente on Sunday afternoon.
